Monthly Craft Club

It was our usual craft session at Rhyddings Park today, our friends were sadly missing but in spite of their absence we had a very productive afternoon.  Our brief was to decorate the painted wooden labels for the raised beds and even Dave joined in:

Thumbing through the books for ideas.

Louise demonstrating the chalkboard pens, they were a tad temperamental!

 "Whatcha looking at?!"

It was very cold in the outside room and we all cheered when the kettle went on and mugs of tea were passed around the table.

 That's better :-)

Lovely signs waiting to be hung in their respective abodes.

Those labels look very pretty. Is that for something like a community garden?

Yes it is and next door there is a building used for exercise and mindfulness sessions with a cafe on the ground floor.

What a great way to make plant labels. I presume they were little pieces of wood painted with blackboard paint?

That's what Greg says to me when I take pictures of him . . and then he'll make a face or stare in a funny manner :) xo

The signs are really nice . . so pretty. All of you did a great job with the lettering and drawings. It looked like a fun afternoon, especially with the addition of a hot cup of tea. Is it always cold in the room?
