DPP Day Five ~ A Birthday

On this second Sunday of Advent we also celebrated Mum H birthday.  A lovely roast dinner for tea and a birthday ring of candles to provide some birthday cheer:

St Nicholas ready in waiting for tomorrow ☺️

We attended evening mass which starts at six so by the time we arrived home it was after half past seven, we were definitely ready for our meal by then!

The sun beginning to set earlier in the day, taken from the upstairs bathroom window.

Beautiful pictures and happy birthday to your mother-in-law (?)! You even made it to Mass. The sun sets early these days, doesn't it?

It was really lovely to get to mass, so far we have managed two weeks on the run! It was helped enormously with Mum H (MIL!) ferrying Pip to Milnthorpe and back for the 808 Christmas party - two round trips of 52 miles at either end of the day!! This meant I had just about enough health to get us to church in the evening 🙂❤️

It is a blessing that your mother-in-law can still help out that way. Pretty soon, you are driving around as much as we do :).

It's so nice that you could get to mass and that Mum H could help with driving. Your sunset photo is very pretty, and I'm happy that the solstice is just around the corner!
