Finally Finished!

My season swap is complete.  I just need to work out how on earth I'm going to get it packaged safely!  Hopefully by tomorrow morning it will be winging it's way to far distant hills.

How cute! What exactly is the Season Swap?

I'm a member of a forum known as The Green Parent, it's a UK based online community, although we have expats in Germany, Spain, Portugal and NZ.

One of the ladies on the forum has organised a season swap for sometime, it is ran on similar principles to a secret santa. Interested parties put forward their names and everyone is assigned a partner; we each make a seasonally based item for a season/nature table.

For Summer I made a multicoloured lap quilt and Autumn I made a felted Acorn bud doll. I received clay painted suns and a shell ornament for Summer and knitted gnomes and mushrooms for Autumn.

It's a lovely idea but I found this one a bit stressful as true to form I left everything late and then remembered I was posting internationally!! I've sent my gift on a wing and a prayer!!

It sounds like a great idea -- when you have the time to make the things. I hope your items will arrive on time. You never know during the holidays. Sometimes things move surprisingly fast.
