Later in the day a voice called upstairs, "Hi mum!" It was Kathryn and Mary Grace!! They stopped for tea and the little ones had great fun in the garden:
Benedict and I also had a productive day we watched a time team production of The Celts and Benedict used his mine craft skills to make a round house and hill fort. I sat and worked on a shawl whilst watching the programme. It has been a very long time since we both felt inspired to learn.

San,
Oooh! Soup! Benedict's home made sweet potato and celery soup with tomato and garlic croutons sounds delicious. I hope you'll post a photo of your shawl when it's finished. xx
What a very special day!!! The soup looks delicious (kudos to Benedict!), and what could be more wonderful than Sara, Tom, Kathryn and dearest Mary Grace??!! Having fun in the garden is the best thing for young ones to do :)
It's been a few days since I sat and knitted on my shawl and listened to Nicholas Nickleby on tape. Chanda is never inclined and I do grow tired of always initiating it. She does like to watch ballet movies, and while I can never remember which piece of music goes with what ballet, or which dancer I saw in what ballet, she remembers everything and happily sets me straight. So, at least she's learning something, and she was good keeping up with her Maths, Italian and Latin all year. She's just slacked off this past week as it's been kind of a vacation before beginning her five week dance intensive. She had her placement class today . . and is looking forward to beginning the schedule tomorrow. I'll keep you posted! Make sure to post about your shawl! I'd love to see how it's coming along. xoxo, Dorina.
