Pip’s Bedroom

After all of Pip’s hard work in assembling her bedroom furniture it seems only right and fitting that the final results are showcased here on the blog.  The only item that she did have some help with was constructing the bed, namely the end panels, but the rest was completed by her:

This is the smaller of the Billy bookcases and fits very neatly in one of the recesses in her big white cupboard/wardrobe.

Her bed complete with fab under bed storage and just behind it you can see the top of her Malm bedside cabinet - she  made Ben’s bedside unit during his bedroom refurb.

The Harry Potter bunting which I made her last year finally has a home 🙂

We repurposed what we could and since Ben’s old Billy bookcase was still in good order it made a much needed addition to the bedroom.

This image of a local longstanding football team was the inspiration for the blue backdrop for one wall.  The three remaining walls are a chalk white/grey.

Pip’s desk housing both her computer and her art/model making station.

This unit contains all her various art and model making supplies.  On top you can see two of her airplanes just in front of a photo of Grandad H next to his beloved bike.

Pip loves her room as do I and not only is it a peaceful haven it is also a breeze to clean 💙

Hi Kezzie, yes me too! The room is fab and she also has a plug in light projector that emits a gentle swirl pattern on the ceiling dotted with stars 💙

It looks lovely, the colour on the walls is very soothing and I really like it.

Lovely to have her room all nicely sorted🤗and the colorway is just so pretty. My bedchamber/library is robin's egg blue with white trim — love the sky/water colors for sleep and study.

So wonderful to see and all the work she did herself! Did she paint the walls? Does she have a separate keyboard for her laptop? It must be nice to have the desk by the window.

Thanks Christina, Elli and Eva for all of your lovely comments about Pip’s room.

Eva we had the decorator do the painting it was a lot of work prepping the walls etc. Pip specifically chose this particular desk from IKEA as she knew she wanted to be by the window. Yes she does have a separate keyboard for her lap top as she plays a few computer games online with friends and also uses garage band and other software for music making 🙂

It looks fabulous! Congrats to Pip on constructing everything. It's a wonderful accomplishment to create a comfortable and organized space for one's self. The paint job on the walls is very well done and is such a calming color. The bunting has a perfect spot! xoxo

Thanks for answering my many questions, San! I wish we had an Ikea close by, but the closest for us is in Canada! I did not know that Pip was so much into music making. Is that new?
