Sunday Sofa Sustenance

The week gradually nosedived ðŸĪŠ. I had to drive Pip to see a specialist physio as she is experiencing additional complications with her connective tissue disease, this necessitated a two hour round trip interspersed with a 90 minute appointment.  The drive back (motorway) was horrendous and I could barely formulate a sentence once home.

Friday saw a planned visit from Dave’s friend and even though I made the soup and scones sitting down, my heart rate still shot up to 120bpm.  However the evening time was worse with a resting heart rate of 110 lying down climbing to 132 moving around.  Hmm I think my body was trying to tell me something - overdid it perchance?!!

Saturday morning I was greeted with this information:

So I did just that and spent most of the day on the sofa looking like this:

This evening we have declared it a TV dinner evening and Dave and I are settling down to watch ‘Foyle’s War’ on YouTube which I can highly recommend:

I have a catch up with my GP tomorrow afternoon and hopefully a prayer catch up with a friend in the morning, health permitting.  Hope your weekend has been a good one x

Thanks Penelope it’s always God’s grace that gets us through 🙂. Like you I’ve been round the block more than a few times with this chronic health malarkey and it’s one step forward two steps back 😂. We get there in the end though, I hope you are doing ok ❤️

Oh, were the roads bad or was there too much traffic? I also get very exhausted from driving, especially in heavy traffic. I am so sorry about your ongoing heart problems. Have you ever tried Hawthorn? I don't know if that would be helpful for your case, but you could ask your doctor. Did Dave enjoy his friend's visit? What is "Foyle's War" about? I hope that tomorrow will be successful!

I'm just getting a chance to catch up with some of your posts.

I'm sorry you've been so sick. I've been getting lots of headaches/migraines with our hot summer weather. Sounds like we can both do with some rest time.

Oh yes...Foyles' War! A good choice!

Hope you are feeling better soon. xx

I'm glad you rested with Poppy and I hope you're feeling a little better. I also wonder what Foyle's War is . . and is it streaming, or a TV station?
