Victory in Europe 75

It has been quite a lovely day, we have watched programmes, met with family online via zoom and enjoyed a WW2 quiz hosted by Kath and Mary, listened to stories of survivors and joined in with our neighbours having afternoon tea on the lawn.

Chatting to our lovely neighbours on the left.

The car was moved and we had the garden table on the front drive.

Serving tea and chatting with ...

... our neighbours on the right :-)

 Yummy afternoon tea.

What a lovely day! And so nice you could talk to your neighbors. It is snowing here and so cold!

Yes, I'm glad you had such a beautiful day with sunshine and a blue sky. It was cloudy and chilly here in NYC, and povera Eva keeps getting snow! Morgana sent me several photos of her VE celebration in Somerset. They had a nice time too . . with delicious scones also! De rigueur, I think! It's also heart warming to see you chatting with neighbors. A WWII quiz sounds fun! How did everyone do? xoxo

Oh you all look so happy! How beautiful to be able to chat to your neighbours! We're not happy with our neighbours on the left because they just cut down that beautiful Ceanothus tree!

So thankful for lovely neighbours and the glorious weather over the first half of the weekend was much appreciated. As promised there was a distinct drop in temperature and it has been woolly jumpers and hand knit socks weather since then :-)
