Halloween :: Heysham Head

Yesterday the kids went trick or treating with another family for the first time ever and came home with an insane amount of sweets and chocolate:

We don't normally eat sweets apart from jelly babies as a hypo treatment so the 5LB weight of goodies is totally crazy.  I reckon this lot will tide them over to Easter and beyond!

We travelled on a new link road from our home which will make certain journey's around our area and the wider environs a touch easier:

Blue Skies on the first day of November.

 Benedict reading and me sewing.

 "Put that camera away!"

 "Yes!  I did it!!"  Benedict managed to scale this steep embankment in three leaps, naturally it took Pip considerably longer but nevertheless she made it to the top :-)

Seaside sewing finit!  An upcycled small flap pouch bag for a friend's youngest daughter.  We could not go empty handed for the little one since Pip had made an upcycled bag for the older sister and her best buddy from school.  We spent the afternoon with them and the two older girls performed a music and dance show, totally priceless:

Happy All Saints x

Love the bat t-shirt! They did indeed get a lot of sweets :) It so has to be done. The bag Pip has made is lovely, what a brilliant thing to be able to do! Hayley x

What a gift, to live so near the sea :-) (says the girl who lives smack in the middle of the North American continent). Looks like it was a really lovely day. Blessings abound. {{hugs}}

Yes I need to embrace it! I think I am in denial about the autumn festivities because after that we are in the Christmas planning season including Pip's birthday two days before the big day! This year I am determined to be organised :-). Good to see you blogging again x

Way too many sweets, Dave has successfully hidden them and they will be rationed on a weekend!! Benedict was really sweet (!). He posted some Haribo sweets through our neighbours door!! A treat much better than a trick :-)

Yes it was lovely and so easy for the kids to be active and the aged parents to hang out!!

Your beach pics are so beautiful, and I love the bag :) It looks like such a nice visit with friends! (We used to have the Halloween fairies come and visit and leave an organic chocolate bar in exchange for all the candy).

Benedict's jumping reminds me of Jonathan. He is always very preoccupied with how high he can jump :). How warm was it? The North Sea in Germany is not a good place to be in November . . .

Hi Ellie, so pleased to read that your health has stabilised. I cannot find a way to comment on your blog apart from a box that I tick as waving hello xx

Yes, I so appreciate that people do click those boxes :-) I wasn't sure if they would! {{hugs}} .... I had explained in a couple of posts that I was/am feeling called to blogging more like I used to, years ago, when I did not have the comments open. I feel the need for some Holy Quiet at my blog -- I don't know for how long. For now, it is very peaceful -- for me! -- and I am finding it a great deal easier to actually write now, which is an unforeseen side affect ...
