Mum would have been 87 today. We offered mass for her and in addition to ourselves, Mum H and my Mum’s four siblings were in attendance. After mass Dave, Pip and Mum H went to Tesco and had a mocha in Mum’s memory.
Whilst they were in Tesco, I spent a lovely few hours with some very precious cousins who have a strong walk with the Lord and were a pivotal part in my faith journey as a young teen. To celebrate we had a lovely gluten free cake with our coffee which was totally unexpected and really made my day.
A few weeks ago we attended a brilliant yarn exhibition which I’m hoping to write about very soon x

Sorry Kezzie I had a brain fog moment when I replied to you xxx
That is so special that you could have a Mass said. Did you mom like mocha? I did not know you could have a mocha at Tesco. Do they have a café section? How are your cousins doing? Do they live close by?
My Mum was a big tea drinker growing up and then switched to warm water, it was Dave’s Mum that introduced her to a Mocha. The Tesco Extra Supermarkets have cafes and they serve good food, drinks and snacks at a reasonable price.
We travelled back ‘home’ for the mass and that is where all my family live. I have one cousin that left the area for work but everyone else found local employment. It was really lovely to catch up with them and they’ve been a great support to me over the years xx
How nice you could get together with family to remember your mum.
And that cake looks delicious!
Looking forward to hearing all about the yarn exhibition :) xx
That does sound like a wonderful time together.
